While I agree it's ridiculous to ban someone from the Olympics for marijuana usage, painting it as a race issue is really not helpful. It lessens the impact of a stance against actual race issues when the default is this.

Also I think politicians should stay out of this. That is the problem with the games now. Too many outside people with agendas trying to make decisions. The IOC has been doing this for years and we never heard a peep from US politicians until now

Why are you making THIS racial? White people use too. Rules are rules. Are they archaic rules? Yes. Should they be changed? Yes. But today it's still a rule. White Olympians have faced controversy in this too (Phelps).
