Should people from other countries have authorization to enter the US before they enter the US? Who sets our border security and immigration policy, the people of the US or people outside the US?
-
What are you talking about? They’re not in the US yet. Mad that Mexico is letting them pass through? Mexico is a sovereign country and can do what they want. These people plan to apply for asylum when they arrive. Which our laws allow them to do at the border.
-
Only @ legal port of entry. How do you know they're all seeking asylum.?Asylum criteria is not based on desire to improve economic circumstance,it's based on fear of prosecution in home country&proof seekers would be persecuted on race, nationality, religion, political &social group
-
Reports are that most of these people are escaping war-torn Venezuela. But it’s not up to u or me to determine whether asylum should be granted. There’s a process 4 that. & yes, they must apply at a legal port of entry. I doubt a caravan is going to sneak across the Rio Grande.
-
You guarantee that? As a citizen of the US I have the freedom to voice my opinion. By the consent of the people, gov is instituted & representatives are given authority & responsibility, however citizens do not surrender their options to redress, suggest to, or criticize government.
-
I don’t get the panic about this. Germany took in a million! In one year! This is nothing compared to that! Germany is still the strongest economy in Europe. This won’t end that. Stop acting like helping people is too much for the US to handle. It’s ridiculous.
-
The US helps more people world wide than any country on the globe. The issue is not exclusively impact on economy,& spare me Germany is perfect canard, just ask my fellow Jews facing a rise in attacks in Germany of all countries, and the gains of the right wing in recent elections.
-
There have been gains in right wing parties in Germany, the results of the same kind of fear-mongering Trump and people like you are promoting. The level of attacks on Jews here is pretty minimal compared to what you’ll find in the US, although it has definitely risen.

Thank you, Rep. Jayapal. I’m a Washingtonian living in Germany. Germany took in 1million refugees in 1 year, the equivalent of 4million for the US, relative to its population. It’s had no effect on my personal life, but has been a boost for my small business. Immigration is good.
-
We already have between 11 and 20 MILLION illegal immigrants here
-
Ok, what do you actually see in Germany? I live in Germany and life is great here. Affordable healthcare for everyone, much less crime than in the US, strong labor laws to protect workers, and a very high quality of life. You should come over and take a look.

He is speaking to his racist hate filled base. He doesn't care what you say and neither do they. They are all Nationalists. I'm glad the word is out - I'm not a Nationalist

You deliberately missed the point. Being illegal is the problem. And 1500 or 15000 illegals is a problem
