Given the difficulty of trying to set up a national system for health insurance (or, ultimately, a system of healthcare), where do you look?
-
That is, Rep. Lewis, where have you & your congressional staff sought information about systems in Canada, Australia, the UK, Europe, Asia?
-
E.g., what about the system in Japan (40% of our pop, but a major economy). They spend 8.5% of their GDP on a genuine healthcare system. ??
-
Or how about Indonesia? They come closer to our population, w/260 mil. They launched universal healthcare in 2014, costs now only 3% of GDP.

Over how many years? What % of GDP is that? Pretty sure it's smaller than Donald Trump's weinerschnitzel.
