What about that budget deficit and cost of living for most Americans? Most tax benefit has been for corporations and extremely wealthy. Jobs are headed abroad due to tariffs. Corporations are cash rich, give it back to shareholders. Do something abt POTUS!https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cost-of-living-2018-increasing-at-fastest-rate-in-10-years/ …

This is what your fiscal incompetence is doing for jobs - real wages are going down almost as fast as the national debt is going up. You and the GOP are bad for business, you are bad for our economy, and you are bad at governing in a democracy. It's time for you to go.

No matter how hard Lewis tries to spin his horrid fiscal record, the facts remain clear. Lewis and the GOP are bad for business, bad for the economy, and bad for employees.

And yet the economy keeps cooking along. Record low unemployment, fatter paychecks, high levels of both business and consumer confidence. Are you sure your talking about the same country?
#MN02#angiewontanswer -
One of the wonderful things about our country is our government produces factual statistics that help us make better policy decisions. Here, we talk about 'real wages' which means, what we have in our pockets all things considered. Under my Rep Lewis, we are earning less.

I am doing about $200-300 a month better. Since the economy is doing so well the Fed is raising interest rates. That brings a certain amount af inflation. I am not to concerned. There are more jobs than applicants, wages will rise, food stamp and welfare rolls will shrink.

$45 to raise the national debt a $1,000,000,000,000 for your corporate over lords. You’re too kind!

Sadly inflation is wiping out any gain some families (not all!) might have enjoyed. You and this administration are a complete disaster.

I’m old enough to remember when conservatives cared about the deficit.

How disappointing. This is a permanent tax cut for companies and customers only get about a $45 one time rebate. And they are only doing that because regulators required it. Not worth increasing our federal deficit.
