That blanket statement is untrue. The Corporate tax rate was long ago proposed. It was opposed by Senator Orrin Hatch because it did not include personal tax cuts for the highest income earners. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-budget-geithner/geithner-cut-corporate-tax-rate-substantially-idUSTRE71E58U20110215 …

The current HR1 end dates the SALT-D, Mortage Interest Deductions, Charitable Contribution deductions, and permanently removes exemptions for itemizes. (Plus is sell US oil reserves in 2025). Ending these tax deductions hurt the middle class and communities. Angie will protect

The standard deduction was DOUBLED to provide balance and simplify tax preparation. This helps people!

Only people who don't itemize. We are a household that previously itemized, using personal exemptions (now gone), our mortgage interest (capped), our charitable deductions(End dated), and a few other deductions to lower our taxes. Our taxes go up bc we cannot itemize

If you have children, the Child Credit went from 1,000 to 2,000.

If you have children they’ll be paying this off, without less access to healthcare and while dealing with a needlessly damaged planet. They’ll see what you did to screw them over some day.

Repatriation is another term for financial amnesty for cash rich corporations. You and the GOP are carving further exceptions for corporations. All while adding $1 trillion to the deficit and complaining about the cost of entitlements for individuals.pic.twitter.com/6kFN4zQbQG

These Republican tactics are so old and so transparently designed to make the rich, richer that I have no idea why everyone can't see what's going on.

I went to a BBQ last weekend. Repubs, Dems, Inds, Con and Lib evenly represented. The question going around the table, are we better off today? All ten people said NO. You seem to think things are going great, but I can't seem to find any regular people that agree with you.

Repatriated for what? It's not reducing the Federal deficit or going into workers' pockets.

The inequality is due to the vibrant economy allowing many entrepreneurs to become successful. Those higher earners pay a higher tax rate so all Americans benefit from their success. "A rising tide lifts ALL boats!" Stop envying those whose enterprise allowed them to go higher.

What reality are you living in?

One time money that is nearly all going to buybacks. Real wages are flat to down over the last year. 2Q GDP was juiced by a time time with 1.06% of the growth from a surge from exports driven by companies racing to beat tariffs.

Too bad it all went to stock buybacks and executive compensation. Here's a thought - maybe we should punish tax evasion instead of, you know, giving the evaders a free pass?
