This is a failure of our government, and we must do better. We in Congress must come together now and pass legislation that responsibly alleviates this crisis and prevents such inhumanity from happening on our soil in our name.
Congress’s unwillingness to fix this long ago is truly deplorable! Playing politics with peoples lives is deplorable. The refusal to even call it a crisis until now is deplorable. Congress needs to do their job and do the right thing regardless of party.
