Paid family leave? Can we all just focus on the children at the border right now? What else can congress do besides bear witness? What can we constituents do?
Paid family leave is just good policy, and leadership starts at the top. That's why I offered this legislation and why I will fight for it. The government needs to be leading by example. It’s just another handout, that’s unnecessary. We, I say we as a 30+ year Federal employee, get 13 sick days a year, plus an additional 13, 20, or 26 days of annual leave depending on length of service. If needed, they can “borrow” anything over those limits and pay it back.
