I respectfully disagree with this vote because it doesn't seem like there are any assurances that the money will not be used to expand the detention centers.
I voted for this $4.59 billion border supplemental bill. While this bill is not perfect, these children and families cannot wait any longer. As one of your constituents I think this was a terrible move. Completely rolled over for Mitch McConnell and the admin. No actual guarantees for improved conditions for these victims. What's the point of giving them more money if it's just gonna fund ICE raids?
