The barriers that women and girls face do not exist in a vacuum. A woman’s right to education, to bodily autonomy, to self-determination, are all connected. We must work with our allies and global organizations to help women and girls achieve true and lasting change.
That is why I am an original cosponsor of the Keeping Girls in School Act, bipartisan legislation that would empower girls by increasing their educational opportunities and economic security.
