On North Korea: When I was active duty in the military, my job was anti-ballistic defense missile programming. This kind of provocation on the part of North Korea is a continued escalation that we should be worried about, particularly if it does involve Russian technology.

On Iran: Tomorrow, I will be in a classified briefing tomorrow to learn more about what we're seeing on the ground in Iran. Congress is a co-equal branch of government, and we need to be involved in the discussion.

If the safety of Americans serving abroad is ever at risk, we must act swiftly and effectively. We need to be the adult in the room and make sure we're not provoking or escalating tensions in an already dangerous situation.
