She wrote about her experience at DoD. In one instance, she was told to attend a meeting wearing "business attire." When she got there, there was an impromptu tour of hardware that she had to decline because she was told that her female footwear did not meet OSHA standards. 2/
She ended her letter with this: "Keep asking your question because I don't want my granddaughters to miss out on opportunities because their shoes weren't OHSA certified or the suit did not fit." 3/
To Carol and all the women and girls of Pennsylvania and the country: I will keep asking the questions. I will keep pushing for reform. I will keep standing up for us, for our daughters, and for anyone who has been told "No" because of their gender. 4/4
