Not only was it an incredible experience, but also an important reminder. Childhood literacy is critical. The ability to sit down and read helps children develop their imaginations, critical thinking skills, and more. Over 10% of Pennsylvanians lack basic literacy skills. 2/pic.twitter.com/YBewiuSHq8

This lack of basic literacy goes beyond an education issue. It affects our economy, health care costs, & even military readiness. Before coming to Congress, I started a literacy non-profit.. I will use that experience in Congress to elevate this issue & work towards solutions. 3/
