We're all just one diagnosis or accident away from financial ruin. Preexisting conditions are important to protect but those of us who are relatively healthy but don't have employer sponsored care need affordable premiums and we all need reasonable deductibles.
In my community of #PA06, over 300,000 people have preexisting conditions. I've worked my whole life to save some money and pay off my mortgage so I can afford to retire before I die. I have too much to lose to forgo insurance, even though I rarely use it, but I cannot pay $600-800/mth which is insane & the result of unregulated insurance industry.
