we had that in Vallejo with someone 'sleeping' in a drive thru. supposedly with a gun in his lap. Vallejo is awful and there was no excuse for the cops, but why would somebody "sleep" in a drive thru?

He was armed with the taser he took from the officer in a violent struggle. Had he used that taser on the officer, he could’ve taken his firearm. The officer took no chances. I’m not saying it was entirely justified, but he was hardly “unarmed”.

I doubt his plan was to run away and double back to shoot an officer with a taser to then take his gun and end his life. Idk maybe that’s just me and you woulda planned it like that.
