Hagedorn in @StarTribune on #foodstampreform: “We do not want to see anyone, especially children, go hungry, which is why I support the Farm Bill and its nutrition provisions. I believe that you don’t want to see people going hungry. I also believe that you would solve that by refusing to look

The @gop has no problem slashing taxes for the super wealthy and increasing defense spending without any oversight, but struggling families.... Well they're really the problem.

I can't wait to hear you think is truly deserving. #GOPfail so far you've been nothing but a tool for the regime in power.

I'd like to know how you define "truly in need" - is it the same standard you used to give the top 1% a massive tax break? After all, those billionaires are very needy - hungry children, not so much. Shame on you and the GOP! #gopfail

Every month my child’s daycare collects food for hungry children in a variety of settings. The wealthiest country in the world has a hungry children problem. And you are going to take away that smidge of assistance they do get? Shame on you.

How about cutting corporate welfare? We could fully fund public education AND feed the “truly needy” if those loopholes were closed. But Congress dare not bite the hand that feeds THEM.
