I am proud my SPACE-A legislation has been signed into law as part of the NDAA. It allows Veterans with a 100% service-connected disability to use a benefit to travel on military aircraft when there is extra space onboard. It is the 8th of my bills to become law this Congress.

Mr. Bilirakis is there any plane to extend Space-A travel to spouses or dependents? It would still cost taxpayers zero. Thank you for the hard work you do for all veterans.
I'm working on that. Obviously that was my intention with the legislation.

Have you proposed a bill to fix the space-A issue for 100% disabled veterans? Not being able to take a dependent can make the benefit more of a challenge than a benefit. Also are the Conus and US territories restriction going to be fixed as well? Thank you.

We are working with the Administration, as they do not need new legislation, just a correct interpretation of the law we already passed. I will update as we receive news.
