Thank you Congressman for all your work to #ProtectCyprus. You realize the critical role Cyprus plays, along with Greece and Israel in projecting Western values and protecting Western interests in the Eastern Mediterranean.
This year marks the 44th anniversary of the illegal occupation of Turkish troops in Cyprus, a strong U.S. ally. I call on Turkey to remove its occupying force, cease its inflammatory rhetoric, normalize relations with the Republic of Cyprus, and commit to peaceful coexistence.

It is not illegal Mr. Billirakis but according to the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus, Addendum I, item 4. Turkey is still waiting from the Greek Cypriots to reestablish the 1960 Republic of Cyprus, where Turkish Cypriots would again be the founding partners.

You must learn thrue history about cyprus. England, Greece and Turkey were guarantor of people who living in Cyprus. Unfortunately due to systematic murders and oppression againts turks, Turkey only did its job. I guess you are not born When these events happening. Right??
