Why not introduce a bill that prohibits government shutdowns, like requiring a balanced budget every year? Seems to me, that makes more sense.

I am not proud, inspired, or even respectful, of the fact that it takes “an act of Congress” to insure that our working employees get paid on a timely basis. The absurdity of it blows my mind. This makes you proud? I have much higher expectations and so should you.

How about a bill that ensures all members of the senate and congress go without pay during the #TrumpShutdown

To quote: “We can work out something, for some sort of compensation, but to get paid full pay for maybe three or four months when you’re not working?” Sir, they aren't on strike, they've been locked out of their workplace. You and the other 6 chaps should be ashamed of yourselves
