This is some straight Fake News. TSA confirmed yesterday that they had a small uptick in holiday absences, but nothing out of the usual. Any disruption was due to local, isolated circumstances. Even if there was a surge in absences, they have plenty of reserve employees ready.
As a Congressman representing one of the largest airports in our nation, JFK, this is increasingly concerning. Trump is using the safety and security of Americans as a bartering chip. Amazing how LAX had no issues at all. People waited an average of 22 minutes on Monday. Seems like TSA workers who want to keep their job in Palm Springs will show up to work.
