It’s a felony for a person barred from owning a gun to falsify information in an attempt to buy a gun. But of the 112,000 denials by NICS (the nat’l background check system) in 2017, only 12 cases were prosecuted. Steube’s proposed amendment would have addressed this problem.

Dems are interested in their agenda of Socialism ONLY. Dems want an unarmed population to make their agenda of Socialism a sure thing. Dems have never cared about the people. Just like all the other socialist governments from history.

Did your amendment provide a recourse for citizens to challenge the result of the check? Did you consult with law enforcement on this idea? Agree that checks alone are insufficient to stop gun violence. Disagree with your NRA ravings.
