Congress has met in person for 231 yrs, but w/ Congress no longer meeting in person, it’s clear Pelosi is using this crisis to bypass Republican input so she can push her agenda & attack @realDonaldTrump.
House Democrats are moving forward with new legislation without participation from half the country’s Representatives, demonstrating unprecedented ultra-partisanship at a time when many in our country are trying to pull together to defeat this pandemic & get America back to work.
To expedite the power-grab, Pelosi & Democrats are pushing remote voting & are already conducting virtual committee business. Congress is subject to constant cyber-attacks. Now is not the time to experiment w/ American democracy at the expense of our nation’s cyber security.
We need to send the message to the American people that Congress should be open, working for the People in our nation’s capital, taking safety precautions. There is too much going on in our nation for Congress to be operating in 441 locations around the country.
