  Reagan did nothing but put 1800 troops in harm's way ( NO MARINE WAS EVER ALLOWED TO HAVE AMMUNITION BECAUSE WE WERE A PEACEKEEPING OPERATION, ONLY MARINE THAT HAD LIVE AMMMO WAS THE TWO GAURDS AT THE ENTRY GATE , THEIR CLIP WHICH HAD TO BE IN THEIR SIDE POCKET OF UNIFORM .
