Uh, that's the whole point of the #courts: to have a say in the rule of law. Discounting #ChecksAndBalanaces makes you an #autocrat.

DJT hates the courts. They put a check on his desire for abdolute power.
-
DJT hates the courts because he has to take an oath to tell the truth and he will be punished for perjuring himself if he doesn't. No wiggle room.
-
Plenty of wiggle room if you stack the court in your favor.

Because you're a constitutional lawyer, right Weasel? He told me at his daughter's wedding that he "knew more law" than me, a lawyer for 27 years. What a stupid, arrogant, and ridiculous comment, but that's who he is: an ignorant, arrogant, rage-filled fool. And dentist.
-
My sympathies for having such an embarrassment in your family.
-
Thanks, Elyse. We put up with it for 7 years, but finally couldn't take it any longer. His despicable Soros slander on Vice was enough.

Mr. Gosar, if it is unconstitutional for a federal judge to make this ruling on a case brought before him, tell me what makes it unconstitutional.
-
Separation of powers principle...
-
The principle of separation of powers states that the executive, legislative, and judiciary powers of government should be divided into different branches and not concentrated in one. These departments should be separate and distinct because of the corrupting nature of power.
-
It just doesn't merely state that they have different roles, it also makes each entity the sole mandate in each role. E.g. the judiciary cannot tell the executive how to do its work. It can only pass judgment on whether an action was just or not...
-
OK, isn’t that what the federal judge did?
-
Not quite... I think he ordered the executive to restart a possibly illegal programme and in so doing refused to recognize the executive's discretion in the matter.
-
Remember the case has not been heard. One may actually argue that the judge is prejudiced as he seems to have jumped to a conclusion...
-
It is not uncommon for emergency orders to protect people and their well-being to be put in place while things are adjudicated. I still see nothing wrong with what this federal judge did.
