You can’t “arrive at a border illegally.” Anybody can arrive at a border. There’s no law against that. Everybody knows that, just like how everybody knows photosynthesis works as part of the carbon cycle.

It's almost like the immoral practice of separating families at the border is not an effective deterrent.
