The idea of a physical wall across the southern border? That dog will never hunt when 98% of the Texas border is privately owned by American citizens. You do not want to try eminent domain on Texans... How about doing what you can to reopen the government?

Do walls stop people? Yes. Will it reduce the access illegals and criminals have to this country? Absolutely not. We should protect our borders ALL OF THEM, this includes airways, underground, and points of entry, not just the southern part with no designated crossing areas.
