87% of Americans support requiring welfare recipients to work in order to receive benefits and that is the main reason I voted for the #Farmbill today. Read my full statement here: https://gosar.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=3361 …pic.twitter.com/Hb3StnFWGy

Did it cut out welfare for farmers like cotton subsidies?

Most do work, maybe have a living wage and they would not need welfare. Let's see you advocate for a living wage.

Your "living wage" is why McDonald's, Panera Bread, etc. are eliminating human employees and putting in ordering kiosks.

I really doubt the 87% figure is valid. The bill barely passed the House (213-211 ... #Yikes! Barely squeezed that one out!) So if half of the House opposed the language/terms of the House bill, what makes you think that they don't represent half of Americans, give or take?

Wow, I didnt get invited to the survey! I guess I fall under the 13%. I do support requiring our elected officials to work for the people and earn their pay, not take money from special interest, and sucking a liar's balls. But heck I'm just the little guy.

Most SNAP recipients who can work do so. Among SNAP households with at least one working-age, non-disabled adult, more than half work while receiving SNAP — and because many workers turn to SNAP when they are between jobs, more than 80 percent work in the year b/f, after SNAP.

Not sure a pic of a cotton field while discussing welfare recipients being required to work is a well thought out strategy. While I agree with requiring able bodied people on welfare to work I'm not sure this imagery is going to do anything but create a issue.
