The UK establishment seems to have personal enemity with #TommyRobinson
Never seen such love for child-grooming gangs and hatred for honest journalist.
#ShameOnYou #TheresaMay
Hope these efforts help get #tommy Robinson free.

Stephen Yaxley Lennon pleaded guilty to contempt. Was warned multiple times and could have actually led to the case collapsing. Therefore there would be no justice for the victims. So can you explain your problem with this sentence?
-
How would it collapse? The names of the offenders was published by the BBC the year before.

I'm a liberal from California sir and I just want to say thank you for bringing this issue up

Tommy Robinson is a right wing racist who was already found guilty and then was in contempt of court thereby forfeiting the suspension of his sentence.
-
Well clearly you know sweet F.A.
-
He was found to be in contempt of court, to which he pleaded guilty. There, now *you* know more than sweet FA. You're welcome.

Guys free speech should be non partisan. The mere fact the UK is jailing journalists for reporting on an ongoing trial shows they have a SERIOUS civil liberties problem. A free society does not jail its citizens over speech.
-
No, it jails them for contempt of court and/or for breaching the terms of their previous suspended sentence.

For those of you in the thread (me included) who don't practise UK law, you can read up here. This is a qualified barrister (that's like a 'loyer' who stands up in court) laying out the legal facts around the case: https://thesecretbarrister.com/2018/05/25/what-has-happened-to-poor-tommy-robinson/ …

There is no need to be concerned. 1. Mr Robinson pleaded guilty to contempt of court, after being represented by an experienced criminal lawyer, and the sentence passed was entirely proportional. 2. The British authorities, and indeed people /1
-
Are very concerned about gangs of men who rape children, as evidenced by the numerous prosecutions of such individuals, and the lengthy sentences handed down (Google is your friend here). 3. As part of the fair trial process, reporting restrictions /2
-
On ongoing trials are sometimes put in place. The action taken against Mr Robinson was because he breached the restrictions, thereby endangering ongoing trials. /3
-
I would urge you to read into this matter in greater detail, not simply from Mr Robinson’s supporters on Twitter, and you will soon see why your comments are incorrect and unnecessary. Finally, please note Braveheart is a work of fiction. /5

What a splendid response sir!

In the absence of evidence my default is to file this kind of conspiracy theory in the same place as the moon landings and JFK.
