The Republican's DO NOT have control of the Senate. You need 60 votes to overcome the philibuster.The Republicans only have 51. You guys (Democrats) always revert back to that point. Now if McConnell rewrites Senate rules and goes to 50+1 on legislation, then you'll have a point

Both sides are at fault. The divisiveness in Congress is unprecedented. Votes on legislation go mostly on party lines. I think we all want compromise so that legislation gets passed.
