I joined my colleagues in a letter urging leadership to bring the bipartisan Restoring Tax Fairness for States & Localities Act for a vote before end of year. The cap on #SALT hurt millions of Americans & our bill would would take steps to lower taxes for working families.

#SALT limits only effect rich Californians that are trying to not pay their fair share. Are you a tool of the rich? It would be easier to change California laws. Why doesn't California stop taxing citizens out of the state?

Decrease state and local taxes and there would be no problem. In fact, you can decrease federal taxes (and stop spending) so that we don't need deductions. The government shouldn't incentivise through tax policy by promising to not take people's money if they do certain things

Here in Los Angeles County the sales tax is 9.5%. Localities already add on additional utility taxes. The gas tax is incredible as is the cost of gas. These issues need to be addressed at the state level 1st.
