War Powers Act of 1973 left a loop hole which Bush, Obama and Trump have all passed through based on Islamic State... which Congress has not stopped.
This military action against Syria is a strike against a foreign government. Such an act requires a Congressional authorization to use force, and we have not provided one.

Sir, Do you really believe Trump will bow to the will of Congress, or seek the approval of Congress? He will be bombing Syria by tomorrow and will happily order our military into harm's way. You can't stop him. He's a cornered criminal trying to get the heat off himself
