How about a little attention to climate change? Yes we saw these lake levels in 1986, but the swing from the historic low water level is unprecedented. And if we could get some freezing, the lake shore would be protected from the winter storms.

Fred we are all concerned about erosion. If your constituents can afford a house on Lake Michigan they can afford to make adjustments. Please no more tax money, grants, whatever you want to call it for rich people most only living large on the weekend.

The 99% use the beaches too. State parks, national parks, church camps are being lost +Prop taxes from lake homes generate a lot of taxes for local communities, much of that from out of staters that don’t use schools. Beaches are the main reason MI has a tourism industry.
