It’s never acceptable to use kids as bargaining chips in political process. For some time, I’ve said that separating young, innocent children from their parents is the wrong approach. The right approach is legislation to address the root issues.

Kudos to the statement, really, but two quibbles: 1) Have you ACTUALLY said this “for some time”? Citation plz. 2) Unless you will unconditionally support legislation to end this, regardless of what it does for “border security,” you’re using kids as bargaining chips
