Immigrants toil in fields and meatpacking plants, putting their health and lives at risk so that we can continue to have food on our tables. They pay taxes and help build strong communities. And yet there are still some who begrudge them any support, even during the pandemic.

A workforce of immigrants has long powered the massive JBS meatpacking plant in Cactus, where a cluster of #coronavirus cases are under investigation. They're risking their lives each shift in the county with the state's highest known infection rate. bit.ly/2Whn9Bb

There has never been any protections in place for farmworkers, I have seen first hand how after working for years in the fields they end up with musculoskeletal disorders, rhey are paid low wages, no insurance, no retirment.

I like how you use the word immigrants to applied you are talking about legal. We all know the word your looking for is illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants filed their taxes and received a stimulus check. Illegal immigrants didn’t file their taxes with IRS and therefore no check
