    Today is the 20th Annual Day of Remembrance and Hope in Hampton. As we read the names of those we lost on 9/11, my heart goes out to their families and loved ones. May their memories be a blessing.

    My daughter got her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday on her 12th birthday. I encourage all parents to do the same to help protect our children’s classmates and teachers. The vaccine is safe, widely-available, free.

    When I heard that DACOWITS was being disbanded, I led a letter with every female veteran serving in Congress urging to reconsider. Thrilled to hear that the work of this committee - which has done so much for women over 70 years - will continue.

    13+ hours into this year’s and we spent more than twice as much time debating an amorphous theory that doesn’t do a damn thing for our national security than we did on securing $24 Billion in essential funding for our national defense. That’s just wrong. 1/2

    “I received a bunch of calls from constituents, telling me that they heard the military was banning dancing. Even though the SECDEF has confirmed that they haven’t banned dancing, I want to introduce an amendment to make sure they haven’t banned dancing.”

    Next up: Freshman Rep. Ren McCormack will offer an amendment to repeal the military's anti-dancing regulations.
