And they help to further divide this nation. This is the first President in my lifetime who hasn't made even a half-hearted attempt to unite Americans. Instead, he consistently amplifies rhetoric designed to divide. These are dark times.
President Trump's tweets do not put food on the kitchen table, increase wages, make housing more affordable, or decrease the gun violence in Philadelphia. Instead, his tweets highlight his lack of understanding about the current struggles millions of Americans face.
