Bill would increase the tax burden of me and all other graduate students across the country by up to 240%! It'd make it impossible to pursue grad school. Please vote against this bill. More information at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e3oIk8AO9F_UL98z5cieKha1V5e9azzB/view …

This bill is an abomination against people who are poor and sick, the elderly, wome, children and veterans - in other words WHO WE ARE!

Elimination of the student loan interest deduction will hurt anyone trying to finance their own education. Treating tuition waivers and stipends as income will devastate graduate students. This bill permanently cuts taxes for multinational corporations at the expense of students.

For myself, loss of SALT & property tax deductions, retirement saving options, federal historic building tax credit. For our society, impact on health care system & outcomes, families losing personal exemption. AND: lack of evidence these cuts will result in any reinvestment!

(Here's an article on the federal historic building tax credit and how losing it could accelerate the loss of Philadelphia's historic environment. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/14/business/philadelphia-commercial-real-estate.html …)
