1/ I recently met with Sandy & Lonnie Phillips, who lost their daughter Jessica in the 2012 Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting.
They tried to get justice but were blocked by PLCAA, a 2005 law that protects gun companies instead of victims.

3/ The work that Sandy & Lonnie Phillips do is so vital. All victims of gun violence deserve our support! In addition to pushing for reforms to gun laws,
@SenBobCasey & I have introduced the Resources for Victims for Gun Violence Act:https://evans.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/casey-evans-push-support-victims-gun-violence …Show this thread -

5/ The difference between this & gun companies? If this turns out to be true, victims could hold Juul accountable in court. I’m a lead co-sponsor of
@RepAdamSchiff’s bill to reopen the courthouse doors to victims of gun violence (HR 3214).#StandWithVictims#PLCAAHurtsVictimspic.twitter.com/PZn5yb5z81
