And a lack of conflict resolution skills (a LOT of people have trouble with that though, not just *us*). Socio-emotional learning (SEL) classes offered in schools teach kids/teens how to solve disputes in a constructive way.
In addition to easy access to guns, gun violence occurs in black communities bc of the lack of economic investment in neighborhoods, stagnant job growth, lack of funding for our public schools, hopelessness, etc. It's more than a drug deal gone wrong or a turf war between gangs.
