The min wage is zero if you can't get a job. And a higher minimum wage doesn't guarantee you get enough work hours for good benefits. This only means something for Black people if you put "Federal Job Guarantee" in the same plan. This plan doesn't go far enough.
Today I voted for the #RaiseTheWage Act, which would raise the national minimum wage from the current $7.25 per hour to $15 by 2024.
