SSI's application process is already extremely hard - it seems designed to be incredibly difficult for the very people who need it. We're helping our 27yr daughter apply - often ppl won't talk to us, but she can't manage dealing w/the process, which is exactly why she needs SSI!

@LizSDVM It sounds familiar.. I too, was struggling with the process. Phone calls, paperwork, getting an attorney, see drs. etc. Confused and overwhelmed.I had a dear friend help and support me. It took 3 years! It needs to be less complex. AND It'd be great if the wait was less
