Mr. Evans, thanks for calling him out. He continually sends cold & impersonal form letters like this to constituents repeatedly. His staffers are rude & hang up on constituents as well. Meanwhile Sen Casey and his staff are pleasant & helpful even w/those who disagree.
It’s unfortunate that many people across our great state do not feel represented or that they matter. It was definitely a callous response to a hellish situation. “Senator” Toomey should be ashamed.
Not surprised at this level of response. I had similar types of responses when I’ve reached out to Toomey on other matters. I’m republican and I will not vote for him ever again for anything - not even for dog catcher.
And Rep Evans, exactly what are “you” doing to resolve the partial shutdown and secure our borders? Refusing to negotiate with the President? How is that helpful? The President has offered a solution. If you disagree, what is your solution? Don’t say “open the gov and then talk”

I'm so sorry for what this is doing to 800,000 Government workers and their families because of a border wall. You and your families are hostages. The truth is his base will leave him if he doesn't get a wall he can't run for re election I think he will be impeached before 2020,
I hope he will be in jail or awaiting trial by 2021 things are moving along quickly. Hearings will be held by the intelligence committee. Oversight will start soon subpoenas are being sent out. Some have gone out. Democrats have tried to get the Senate to veto his vetos to come
