Raise the wage to tax them more. How about adults get a job that doesn't pay crap? I made 7.25 an hr 20 years ago as a teenager in high school.
-
Dam you made that much... i made 3.15 at McDonald's when i started working

-
I started at 4.25 at 16. 2 yrs I was up to 7.25. Point is..adult in a major city cant make more? A new hire at Wawa makes more! I'm not against helping ppl. But they gotta help themselves too. Lol.
-
https://www.glassdoor.com/Hourly-Pay/Ross-Stores-Hourly-Pay-E1843.htm … And a new hire at Ross makes 8....
-
If you want a house a family and a car one does not work at Ross.
-
Lol.... the post office is always hiring... but nobody wants to work
-
Ty postal. Everyone is hiring. If they cant get a job in this economy they're the problem.
-
Its actually hard to find a job that pays over 10 bucks when you have no experience or eductation in that area. 7.25 an hour gives about 200 a week for 40 hours. I used to work 48 hours a week in west philly and still couldnt drive a car or pay my part of bills. And im in college

We also need rent caps
-
No we don’t, that’s awful policy
-
It’s actually very good policy. It is a shame they didn’t teach you that at (*looks at Mr. Georgetown’s a cappella group full of future lords of the land and Brett Kavanaughs*) ohhh I see
-
I wasn’t in any of Georgetown’s a cappella groups, I didn’t go to Georgetown prep, and anyone who understands basic economics knows why rent control is a bad idea. I knew that even before I went to Georgetown.

-
Moy dewd, yr crew may not sing a note but that is an a cappella group in yr photo, body and soul. Georgetown=Georgetown, sorry if u don’t like it. The college that participated in the slave trade=the prep school lol. Re: economics, exit the Austrian bubblehttps://psmag.com/economics/in-defense-of-rent-control …
-
Yeah I might be a descendant of slaves who grew up in section 8 housing in North Philadelphia and went to Georgetown on scholarship but if some white rando tankie suggests I’m a rich Hoya then I guess it’s true regardless of the facts

#RentControlDoesNotHelpPoorPeople -
It may be that the US government is not particularly good at implementing affordable housing policies; it seems that other countries do a better job that we do. Our economic system is America is *very* “special” lol
