I am just curious, considering I actually used to work in an office that determined SNAP eligibility, what exactly is your problem with requiring able bodied adults to work? Do you have any idea exactly how many work exemptions their are? I do, because I processed them.

able bodied doesnt mean there able to get work.
-
They’re not required to get work. They’re required to work, look for work if they are not working, & accept a job if offered. If they don’t want to complete the requirements, ok, they just shouldn’t get benefits. There is nothing wrong w/ making people responsible for themselves.
-
They often are. its dependent on the state. Some states have a cutoff period. If they need help getting food they should just be given help. There shouldnt be strings attached to having access to the basic prerequisites to stay alive.

Some people in the system need help getting food. Some people in the system just don’t want to use their money to buy food. That is not ok.
-
The system is based on how much they earn. Some people dont use their money to buy food because they have to pay other bills.
-
I know exactly how the system works. Fraud is rampant.

Do you mean people who are actually making more than they say they are, are on food stamps, or is it that people who are making the amount that qualifies them for food stamps are spending their money on other things that you think are fraudulent?
