In 2017, the % of Americans who were food insecure decreased from 12.3% to 11.8%, a decline- one that still left more than 40M food insecure people, in 15M U.S. households. 7 years into the recovery & country still hasn’t reached 2007 pre-recession food insecurity rate of 11.1%.
