Unless you also put a cap on expenses, raising wages won't work. All business will raise their prices if wages go up!

Yes, this is how it works. People scraping by always get screwed. The minimum wage needs an increase. It is not moving at all along with the rate of inflation. Do you suggest we just do nothing ? People working full time should be able to eat and pay rent.

Raising wages are a short term fix. First of all 1500 for a rental is expensive and low income people are not paying that much for a 3 bedroom house in a separate moderate income neighborhood.

Secondly once you raise the minimum wage the economy will ultimately adjust so that ppl making minimum wage will end up in the same predicament as before the wage hike.
