It’s not just double dealing on rebates, it’s spread pricing generics, Dir Fees, steering to mail order and specialty, and unfair business practices of vertical monopolies! PBM’s need dismantled, not reformed!!

#PBM's now require pharmacy to buy drugs from a preferred wholesaler, which may cost more to the pharmacy (causing additional losses). but generates additional rebates to the#PBM due to wholesaler relationship, no#transparency.#Fail

Goes way deeper. they have unpublished MAC lists (what they reimburse generics at, despite what's dispensed). Often @ rate lower than pharmacy cost. Pharmacy must fill or b kicked out of network. CVS, by example can lose $$ at pharmacy but still make it at PBM.

This is spot on. you are offered a take it or leave it contract that has the terms "pay the lessor of AWP -20% or MAC (which is a made up number that we can't negotiate, can't find anywhere, and is almost always below our cost to purchase the medicine from our suppliers.

What about medicare being able to negotiate purchase pricing for prescription drugs? Lots of issues, lots of problems to go around. That particular problem is something that can be fixed in law quickly if brought up and done. Yet here we are.

Removing PBMs from American Healthcare is an outmost priority to start fixing this problem. There are not enough laws to pass to fix what they have created. There are many instances where it’s better to build a new bridge then to fix an old one. This is that instance.

Anti-trust issue. CVS1/Caremark owns the PBM and the pharmacy that their customers are forced to use, then they reimburse themselves at a higher rate than any other pharmacy. Please Help us in Independent Pharmacy! We are losing this battle and will become extinct! PLEASE
