I just voted to fund our government, #CHIP, and our military—again. Why? Because Democrats walked away from a bipartisan bill that serves American citizens to focus on non-citizens. That's the story of the #SchumerShutdown.

Your party controls Congress. You could’ve funded CHIP and the military anytime you wanted. Stop using innocent people as scapegoats and do your job!!

DACA comprises of individuals who were brought into this country at a young age and have proven to do well in school and in society at large. What would you do if you were in the same scenario? Did you choose who your parents were or where you were born? If so, please share how.

How did McConnell vote?? I notice you didn’t mention that. Considering His vote and Rand Paul’s, how is it you can call it Schumer’s Shutdown?

We are smarter than that Mr. Collins; we know what you did. And now you are practicing damage control, but we see YOU. #TrumpShutdown #NOV2018

Lying again congressman. Mccaskill introduced a bill that would have funded the military during this mess but Mcconnell wouldn’t allow it to be voted on. And he had a little help from georgia’s Second biggest liar, David( “I don’t recall, oh now I remember”) Perdue.

DACA recipients were brought to the US by their parents when they could be as young as a few months old to a few years and may not speak Spanish too well. That said, you have a point that there needs to be serious efforts to address wage stagnation and well being for US citizens.

I personally think some variant of DACA could be made into law and wouldn't negatively impact US citizens. Hopefully a compromise can be quickly reached and the numerous other issues can be debated and worked on before the midterm elections kick in and slow legislation.
