I appreciate your efforts in this. However, your proposition has one fundamental flaw: Streaming has nothing to do with Mechanical Royalties; streaming does not equate to copy and distribution but to broadcast à la performance. Must fix that or this act will be a costly mistake.

@menashedisrael You are WRONG. It's been settled business practice for a decade now that there is a mechanical in an interactive digital stream. This is not new. We've (ie, the music community and the DSPs) been operating this way. - 1 more reply
