You were silent last week when Trump praised your @HouseGOP colleague for his criminal assault on a journalist. Why is that, Don?
Please do one for CNN now, with some analysis how rallies like the one you spoke at in Council Bluffs lead to violent demonization of political opponents and freedom of the press, plus watch your apostrophe usage.
You know what else is unacceptable, hateful and divisive rhetoric from the president, your party’s inability to stand up to this administration, deals that weaken our global alliances, calling the press the “enemy of the people”...this list goes on and on. #midterms
Donald Trump celebrates and encourages violence against press and protesters. Will you directly tell him you that's unacceptable? Why don't you stand up to demand some civility from the president?
This is a great start. Maybe you should tweet this @potus and tell him to stop advocating violence at his rallies. Civility should start in the WH.
Trump advocates violence on a daily basis and spews his fervent hate at his weekly Nazi Rallies. The GOP has been castrated by a Traitor and you are all complicit in his attempts to weaken this country by dividing it. I do not feel represented by any of my Nebraska officials.
Does that mean you should be punished? Because you've joined in the fear mongering.
This is the bare minimum in the face of the violent and divisive rhetoric coming from the white house every day.
Where is your denouncement of violent rhetoric? Where is your call for civility among your peers and by the White House? Is this the way you led when you were a general...from behind? #VoteThemOut
You seem to want ownership of only your words regarding civility. You can’t. Trump didn’t send the bombs, but he created the atmosphere and set the tone and motion for such events. You, to my knowledge, have never spoke against his hateful rhetoric. You are complicit.
The GOP and the national conservatives (Nat C's) are pro violence, you leaving the party?
You can talk about civility until your blue in the face but it’s meaningless until you hold Trump specifically accountable for the terrible place we are in. Until that, you are not credible.
We have a President in @realDonaldTrump, whom you shamefullly support, who regularly calls the media “the enemy of the People.” At his rallies, which you attend, his followers chant”lock her up” at Hillary Clinton.
