But about those taking care of a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia? They can be “sick” for 10-20 years. The Family and Medical leave act could most definitely be improved upon for those providing long term care. There is no home/work life balance with this. #EndAlz
For more than 25 years, the Family and Medical Leave Act has given workers the promise that they won’t lose their job because they have to care for a sick child, spouse, or parent. This is a promise we must always protect and work to improve upon.
